The House That Already Knew Who It Was
Set among rolling hills and open countryside, this expansive Far Hills home balances contemporary architecture with the warmth and character of a family home. The focus of the refresh was to bring greater cohesion to the property, highlighting its natural materials, sweeping views, and generous living spaces while creating an environment that felt welcoming, refined, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

Large homes often present a unique challenge. While impressive in size, they can feel disconnected if each space competes for attention. Here, the objective was to create continuity throughout the home while allowing its architectural features to take the lead.
Rich wood flooring, soaring ceilings, and dramatic stonework provided a strong foundation. Furnishings, decor selections, and styling choices were carefully considered to soften the scale of the interiors, creating spaces that feel inviting rather than overwhelming.

One of the home's defining qualities is its relationship to the land around it. Expansive windows frame pastoral views from nearly every room, creating a constant connection to the surrounding countryside.
Throughout the refresh, decor decisions were made to support that experience. Natural textures, warm materials, and a restrained palette allow the changing landscape to become part of the interior story. The result is a home that feels both sophisticated and relaxed, where architecture, furnishings, and setting work together in quiet harmony.
